Fairies

These are Maya's fairy creations - the are made from bead heads, embroidery thread hair, wire bodies wrapped with embroidery threads and some fake flower petals. They are all holding onto a rope here...Maya is dangling off the edge. She wanted to convince Bertha that they were playing overnight and had changed positions since bedtime.

Ballet Debut

 Maya performed in her year-end ballet show this past week.

Another one bites the ..

Aidan lost two teeth - one week apart from each other. This is his smile lately.

Bertha's hair & violin

 This was on crazy hair day.

Her violin teacher popped in for another student to practice performing and saw Bertha there - and - Bertha showed her friends what she's learned so far with her Suzuki violin lessons this year.

Mother's Day 2011

 Mother's Day this year started with this breakfast in bed....though the kids hung around in my bed to "sample" various parts of it.

Supper was a lobster dinner! Aidan rubbed the lobster heads to "put them to sleep" before Scott dropped them into the boiling pot. A teary moment for Aidan which I expected to result in a loss of appetite for lobster.  But not so. Aidan opened up his lobster, found it was a female lobster with lots of eggs and he ate them all - saying "that wasn't a happy mother's day for this lobster".
