FIrst (of more) Mother-Daughter Art Pieces

Maya and Melody both worked on hooked rugs as part of a project-turned-exhibit called "Hooking Our Lives: Women's Work, Women's Stories". This week was particularly exciting for Maya. Her piece called "The Shooting Star" was announced at school as being in a downtown gallery, then it was announced that Saturday would be "meet the artist" day and then on this coming Monday it will be annouced that she will be on TV on Monday night on a show called "Out of the Fog".
